Catching Matter

Using the ancient technique of buon fresco, I work with lime plaster, earth pigments, sand and meteorite dust to create paintings shaped by accumulation, erosion and chance. The works occupy a space between abstraction and landscape, exploring geological time, material transformation, and our relationship with the wider ecological and cosmic world.

Unfolding Earth

These paintings begin with hemp canvas dyed using earth pigments and plant dyes before being developed with oil paint. Working with layered surfaces and material processes, I allow patterns and structures to emerge gradually, exploring the interconnected rhythms of plants, landscape and perception through slow, attentive acts of making.
